Tuesday. April 14th.

9:10 pm

Both guys suddenly got hungry at the same time and attacked the dinner bowls.  Bubba had been sleeping in the bedroom and came out.  He stood by the couch, staring at me a moment, then headed for a dinner dish.  Buddy rushed over to the other.  Buddy emptied his completely, then finished off anything left behind in the Alpha’s bowl.

Buddy then moved on to day food while Bubba organized his bed.  Buddy curled up in the piano bed as soon as he finished eating, and it suddenly got very quiet.

6:50 pm

Did our final walk for the day.  Both guys pooped.  Same route as our early walk.

We walked 40 minutes.

2:15 pm

I tried getting them out, after a lazy afternoon.  It’s warm with no breeze, making it feel hotter than it is.  Inside the house it’s comfortable, with two of the fans on medium in the living room.  They did not want to walk.  Buddy wanted to play, and Bubba wanted attention, so we did that.  I tried increasing the amount of contact surface with Bubba’s ears, still being gentle, and he was still not reacting at all.

10 am

I let the guys have an extra hour of sleep to start the day, since they were already up and walked well-before 8:30.  We got to visit and examine ears for a while before finally going for our first walk at 10am.

We went across the street and walked the full width of the park, then back into the neighborhood at the north entrance.  We met up with Yvette who was just arriving home, and I watched closely as she was petting Bubba’s head.  He didn’t react at all.  When we got back home, I tried petting his head around the base of the ears, careful not to irritate if they were still sensitive.  He had no reaction.  He didn’t flinch at the fear of having a sensitive spot touched, and there was no reaction to the contact.

We walked for an hour and 5 minutes.  Bubba pooped, Buddy did not.
