The 7th of February. Saturday.
4:02 pm [end]
We returned from a walk at 4:02. I forgot to check the time before we left, so I do not know when we left or how long we were gone. I only know what time it was when we got back. I was studying, but paused to recline. Buddy lie down on the couch, leaning up against me. Bubba didn’t like being left out, so he came over to jab me with his nose, then moved over by the door once was sure that he had my attention. It was walk time.
Buddy led us across the street this time. We saw a lot of people that we know, all without dogs except for one. We strolled slowly to the middle of the park, and then Buddy wanted to pull us out to Selva to head home. We walked along the street back to the memorial and crossed there.
Both guys pooped. I have no idea how long the walk was.
1 pm
Started the deck cleaning ahead of home coming. Then ran errands:
Mail: Lots of stuff, one item for Jeremy but it doesn’t matter. Monday is the soonest mail day, and I will be gone.
UPS store: Two small packages.
Noon
They sleep, and I study. It’s quiet. It’s a great day to be out, but we’re in.
9:30 am
We went on our first walk. We went out to the path up to PCH and around. We aren’t going into town much anymore. We ran into Janet and Brandy walking on PCH and the guys stopped to say hi. Bubba wasn’t interested until I crouched down to pet Brandy, and then he pushed in to visit with Brandy – I guess he was jealous of me getting attention from her?
We saw Michelle, visiting from Spokane, and my mother – which got Buddy super excited.
I forgot to check the time when we got back, so not sure how long we were out. Bubba pooped, Buddy did not.
8:15 am
I was groaned at.
Buddy was up to meet me at the door. Bubba was in the fireplace bed, lying on his stomach, with his chin resting on the edge of the bed, snout facing towards the kitchen. I did the normal morning run-through, checking for accidents and the water supply, then set out the food to be brothed.
When I came out of the kitchen, without even saying “walk”, Buddy ran and jumped into the front door bed. I walked towards the living room, and Bubba’s eyes rolled up towards me, and then he groaned as if to let me know I was there too early (again). I got the hint, and went home for coffee.
